April 26, 2016:

Another Failure (1989) has already been out for a few weeks.

A few other projects are being lined up for release:

Fieldwork 2007-2008 by Trondheim Thereminorkester
This one is a collection of live recordings, and all legalities have been resolved, so I'm just waiting for the artwork to be finished. It's soaring, ethereal, otherworldly music, with sounds solely based on theremins and effects units. Due May/June.

Dub-Impro is the New Vanguard by A:V:K
Recorded by me and to of my music production summer course students in the summer of 2013, these are dubstep-inspired improvisations that tend to move towards noise, ambience and droning. Due July/August.

The Indescribable L (2012) is taking a bit more time, but I'm hoping to have it finished within 2016. More news on that as it becomes available.

March 2nd, 2016:

It's taken a while, but in less than a month, on April 1st, Another Failure (1989) will be released. It is a digital only release (for now). The album will be available through all the most popular online vendors and streaming services. I'm very proud of the result.

At the same time I'm working on the follow-up, The Indescribable L (2012), which sometimes is referred to as 'the wife album'. This might or might not be ready for release on August 7th.

I have been mastering all available live recordings of Trondheim Thereminorkester from 2007 and 2008, and am awaiting the thumbs up from all members to release them, as a sort of documentary album. Trondheim Thereminorkester also did a recording session for an album in 2009, but it was never finished. I've done mixing and mastering on these recordings, too, and they might be released at a later time.

May 29th, 2013:

Today I finished writing the last words for the tracks on Another Failure (1989). Most of the songs have been recorded instrumentally during the rearranging from original songs written in 1989, when I was 10 years old. Vocals will be recorded during June, and the album mixed as soon as humanly possible.

May 23rd, 2013:

Legal issues regarding the release of Fluxusboks: Boks 2008-2013 are being resolved, and so a release date of September 3rd is probable. This will be a strictly limited release, physically. Preorders will be possible from July.

April 8th, 2013:

After a long wait, I can finally see the end of the tunnel when it comes to finishing Another Failure (1989). All songs are now arranged, and for the most part recorded, except for vocals, which I will be doing from now and until summer. The summer will be spent mixing the album.

Also, I have plans to release all the 17 Fluxusboks radio shows that aired from 2008 until 2009. I'm hoping to get that done on September 3rd, 2013, which will be the 5ft anniversary for the airing of the first of those shows. I want to add another, not yet recorded, show to these, making this release a 9 hour sonic assault. Check out Boks 2008-2013 for more information.

May 20th, 2012:

I am currently working on two projects simultaneously.

One is Another Failure (1989), the second in the series of albums that chronologically deals with my history of composing songs. Actually, 1989, when I was 10 years old, is one of four years when I've made enough music to justify two albums. The others are 1999, 2000 and 2007, that all were eventful years in many regards. This album does in many ways continue where Drawing Lines (1989) left off, but there are more guitars, a bit more of an "organic" feel to everything, and lot more "progressive" elements. I am well into the fourth song, "Black Eyes", which is turning out to be a favorite. Hoping for this one to be finished during the summer.

The other is The Indescribable L, which will be the album of songs from 2012. I have a sort of concept going on there, as well: all the songs deal - in one way or another - with my wife and our life together. Sounds cliche, but really isn't. I've started song number three on that one. This will hopefully be ready in January 2013.

October 6th, 2011:

The album (and Master's degree) was postponed once again, but the album has now been sent off for mastering, and only a few pages are left to write of the report that goes with the album (for the Master's degree). Finally, my baby is here! At least, will be soon. I've set the release date to December 1st.

March 31st, 2011:

Has been a year since the last update, and a lot of things have happened. The debut album (also my Master's degree in Music Technology) is nearing completion. I'm about half done with final mixes, and will be sending off songs to mastering in about a week or two. Mastering will be handled by one of my musical idols — more about that closer to the album's release.

Most of April will be spent doing photo sessions, album artwork, administrative work dealing with CD pressing and cover printing, copyright issues ... and the CD plus Master's degree report that has to be finished within May 1st. That's one hell of a month to look forward to. I'm just gonna wrap it all up.

March 15th, 2010:

In the past few months I have been demoing song for the Drawing Lines album. The songs Drawing Lines, Pin Stiff, Solar Chords and Ascending Moon are done, and Belsassar only lacks the vocals. I am moving on to Insomniac and the Irish Gaelic songs soon, and intend on being finished with the demos before March is over.

Solar Chords turned out to be, although short, one of my absolute favorite compositions/arrangements, with verses in 3/4 and chorus in 5/4, and changes in tempo.

January 18th, 2010:

The website/wiki has been continuously updated during the last two weeks. There's a list of planned releases, with information about artists, albums and songs, and a list of past performances. I will not have the time to take assignments just yet, so the different services have not been my priority.

I have been working on making demos for my master degree assignment in Music Technology, which will result in the album Drawing Lines. The title song is now completely demoed, and I'm sending this one out to the musicians, so they can learn it. I'm hoping for recording to start in April.

January 4th, 2010:

I made a new logo for Eonel Sound, to be seen at the top of this page, and the wiki is up and running. The logo is based on my family's heraldic shield, which I also designed.

These are the current projects here at Eonel Sound:
  • getting the website/wiki fully up to date
  • my master assignment (making demos for the moment)
  • finishing the song Spoke Antagonism for a single release

There are a few other things happening here as well, that will surface in due time. Exciting new year!
