A Man Of Words is a song off the album Spoke Antagonism by Eth Eonel. It was written on March 8, 2010, by Eth Eonel, after a conversation with his fiancée, in which he talked about how he had formerly used words (meaning his diary) to "write himself into" relationships. From he was 15 and until he was 30, Eth Eonel wrote a diary every day, and in many ways this activity defined him during these years. He became the one he wrote about. From sometime in 2009 the diary writing ended, but as Eth Eonel told his fiancée, "it doesn't mean I'm not still a man of words". In the instant he said that, he knew it had to become a song.

Lyrics

In the wake of things that were
with a feeling of contentment
Conversationing with her
about words well said and time well spent

Never been a friend of time
Our common ties were cut
Gave up collecting crimes
And my diary, for now I'll keep it shut

But I'm still a man of words
I am still a man of words
Yes, I'm still a man of words
I'm still a man of words

...
...
...

Every minute of the day
and night for almost fifteen years
Wrote it down to feel or say
but this time around I use my eyes and ears

Yet I'm still a man of words
I am still a man of words
Yes, I'm still a man of words
I'm still a man of words
